The event, which will take place from September 10 to 14 with the participation of around 4,000 veteran rowers, requires 250 volunteers.
Launch of the volunteer recruitment campaign for the World Rowing Masters Regatta, which will take place in September in Banyoles and is organized by the Banyoles City Council, Club Natació Banyoles, World Rowing, and the Spanish Rowing Federation. To successfully run this competition, around 250 volunteers will be needed.
Banyoles, with extensive experience in hosting major international sports events, will once again become the world’s rowing epicenter from September 10 to 14 with the World Rowing Masters Regatta.
Jordi Congost, First Deputy Mayor and Sports Councilor of the Banyoles City Council, highlights that "beyond the athletes, this event will mobilize around 10,000 people who will visit our municipality for a week, with all the economic promotion that entails."
The event’s Executive Director, Oriol Sallent, emphasizes that this is four times the size of a World Championship, which is why he stresses that “we need around 250 volunteers who will work in shifts of different durations depending on the type of task they perform.” Volunteers will be needed in areas such as assisting referees at the entry and exit pontoons, translation services, helping participants, or assisting in medal ceremony pontoons, among other tasks.
The organizers explain that while most volunteers will come from the rowing section of Club Natació Banyoles, different initiatives have been prepared, such as a collaboration with the "Universitat de Girona" sports
department, the involvement of local high school students, and partnerships with various city organizations to
help mobilize this large number of volunteers.
Those interested in signing up as volunteers can do so through the "volunteers" section on the official website
of the World Rowing Masters Regatta in Banyoles (http://wrmr2025.com/ca/voluntaris.html), where they will
find all the event information as well as the registration form to become a volunteer for this competition, which
will once again position Banyoles as the world’s rowing epicenter.

We look forward to seeing you!
